An Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse specializing in endoscopy provides comprehensive nursing care and patient advocacy during GI and pain-related surgical procedures. Working under the direction of the ASC Director, this role involves coordinating patient care with the healthcare team while ensuring adherence to the nursing process and patient rights. The position requires relevant nursing licensure, BLS certification, and preferably Conscious Sedation Certification, with responsibilities including professional development and patient safety in a surgical outpatient setting.
Description
Under the direction of the ASC Director, performs a variety of duties involved in providing patient care in a surgical setting. Has direct responsibility and accountability for the care of the patient undergoing GI and Pain procedures. Utilizes the nursing process to provide comprehensive nursing care during the patient visit. Coordinates total patient care in coordination with other health care team members. Functions as a patient advocate utilizing the Patient's Bill of Rights. Demonstrates professional growth and development by accepting responsibility and accountability's for one's nursing practice.
