Bookkeeper (Accounting Clerk) - $25/hour - Jefferson, OR

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper (Accounting Clerk) to join our team in Jefferson, OR. The ideal candidate will be organized, trustworthy, and experienced in managing financial records with accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or equivalent)
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
• Prepare and process payroll, including taxes and employee deductions
• Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
• Generate financial reports for management review
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
• File and organize financial documents
• Assist with year-end preparations and coordinate with the company CPA

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, or in a similar role
• Proficiency with QuickBooks (or comparable accounting software)
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (not required)
