PURPOSE:
The Business Analytics Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and actionable insights using Alteryx and Tableau. This role partners closely with stakeholders across the Retail & Supply Chain business to identify opportunities, analyze performance, monitor operational processes, and deliver data-driven recommendations that support strategic and day-to-day decision‑making in our stores.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – Job Responsibilities (100%)
Design, develop, modify, and schedule dashboards and workflows using Alteryx, Tableau and other reporting tools.
Analyze retail data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities; communicate findings to appropriate business leaders.
Provide recommendations to improve store operations, customer experience, and business processes.
Gather and document business requirements, review testing plans, and track development outcomes.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to support system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to project‑related tasks.
Perform complex root cause analyses to resolve workflow and database‑related issues impacting retail operations.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Certifications / Equivalent Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience:
3–6 years of experience in analytics, reporting, or business intelligence.
3–6 years of experience with data transformation, database structures, and data modeling.
Experience supporting retail operations or working with retail data is strongly preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Proficiency in Tableau and Alteryx.
Strong understanding of data analytics and data modeling principles.
Foundational skills in technical writing and requirements gathering.
Strong organizational and facilitation abilities.
Effective interpersonal and consultation skills.
Solid critical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
Aptitude for learning new systems, tools, and procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer focus and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in remote and geographically dispersed teams.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/DEMANDS:
Some travel may be required.
Most work is performed in a temperature‑controlled office environment.
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday activities.
Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.
