Job Summary: The Emergency Department (ED) Staff Nurse, under general direction and in accordance with hospital standards and policies, is responsible for coordinating and evaluating nursing care for an assigned number of acute care patients. This role requires performing a variety of professional nursing duties, including supervision of the unit team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good judgment, innovation, discretion, and effective communication skills. Comfort with assertiveness, self-growth, and exploration of one's behavior is key.
This position demands physical capability to perform activities outlined on the credentialing inventory. It requires flexibility to adapt to staffing changes dictated by patient care needs. All practices must align with accepted Standards of Practice and Ethics.
