Lead the Night Shift: Maintenance Supervisor Opportunity

We are a leading recruiting firm partnering with our client, a major manufacturer, to find a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor. This is a critical, high-impact role overseeing the essential overnight maintenance team.

The Role:

You will lead the entire overnight maintenance function for a busy manufacturing plant, ensuring operational continuity, safety, and efficiency. Your primary mission is to provide leadership, technical expertise, and talent development for the night team.

Key Focus Areas:

• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and develop a team of ~30 employees (including technicians, coordinators, and attendants).
• Reliability & PM: Drive the execution and ongoing improvement of the Preventive Maintenance program to maximize equipment uptime.
• Technical Support: Provide hands-on troubleshooting support, utilizing problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve complex operational issues.
• Compliance: Enforce strict Safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Food Safety/Quality standards across the facility.
• Cost Control: Develop and implement plans to control departmental costs and enhance process efficiencies.

Work Environment

• Schedule: 2:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Onsite) . This critical overnight schedule allows you to own the maintenance execution when production demands are often lower.
• Team Structure: You will report directly to the Manager, Technical Services . You will supervise a large, diverse team, making strong leadership and interpersonal skills essential.
• Company Culture: The client promotes a culture of safety first, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration . You will be expected to effectively coordinate with other departments (Production, Quality, etc.) to ensure seamless operations.
• Relevant Technologies: Experience with standard business tools ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint ), familiarity with database structure , and a working knowledge of JD Edwards (ERP) or AutoCAD are all valuable assets in this environment.

We are seeking a proven leader with a strong technical background ready to take charge of a challenging and rewarding shift.

• Experience: 5–7 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, with 3–5 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
