Mechanical Engineer

We are a cutting edge aerospace company focused on return logistics for space. We are creating vehicles that can return payloads from orbit to be used in faster methods of global delivery. With missions planned and backing from both government and private funding we are growing and looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to our team. This person will have experience designing structures to go to space and wants be at the center of structures, thermals and aerodynamics and turning system requirements into flight ready hardware.

Kay Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical systems for atmospheric recovery including deployable structures, aerodynamic decelerators, recovery mechanisms, airframe interfaces, and precision landing hardware
• Work through full design cycle from CAD, FEA prototyping, assembly, testing and launch
• Perform structural and thermal analysis under extreme conditions including load, temperature and dynamic environments
• Integrate designs between flight hardware and rigid hardware
• Have experience with reentry systems, atmospheric flight vehicles, TPS interfaces, or parachute/paraglider systems and hypersonic, supersonic, or high-aero-load environments.
• Create test plans and design reviews to support ground, wind-tunnel, and flight tests for atmospheric recovery subsystems.
