Position Description :The Department of History seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in History. For information about the school visit the Department of History website .
Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.The Department of History will accept applications from qualified applicants on a continual basis. This position may conduct research on critical infrastructure depending on the research focus of a hire.
