PACT Charter School has an immediate opening for a one to one nurse. Position Summary: PACT is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and skilled
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or
Registered Nurse (RN) or
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide
1:1 nursing care for a secondary student during the school day. This is an essential support role that ensures the student's health needs are met throughout the day, allowing them to participate safely in their academic program.
Responsibilities: - Provide direct 1:1 nursing care to the assigned student throughout the school day
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plan
- Monitor and respond to health needs, including emergencies, chronic condition management, and mobility assistance
- Accompany student to classes, lunch, and other activities as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and health-related incidents
- Communicate regularly with school nurse, teachers, and student support staff
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and FERPA guidelines
- Attend IEP or 504 meetings as needed to support the student's care plan
Qualifications: - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of Minnesota
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (pediatric preferred)
- Previous experience with pediatric, school nursing, or 1:1 care preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while following a care plan
- Compassionate and student-centered approach
Position Details: - Hours are 7:45am to 3:30pm on student contact days
- Wages will commensuate upon experience. Hourly range: $25.50-$35.50
- Benefits are available and include health with an HSA, dental, PERA , PTO/ESST and paid holidays.
