Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled seamstress proficient in women's apparel construction to produce approximately 20 units per style across several garments (pants, dresses, hoodie bolero, tops). This is a freelance/contract role ideal for someone with experience in small-batch production who can work from existing physical patterns (no digitized patterns).

Responsibilities:

• Cut and sew production of ~20 pieces per style (multiple styles)
• Construct garments accurately using provided physical patterns and samples
• Ensure high-quality finishing suitable for womenswear market
• Communicate clearly about fabric needs, production timelines, and any adjustments
• Collaborate with designer to ensure garments meet design vision and fit standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a seamstress/sample maker in womenswear
• Proficient in handling a variety of fabrics (stretch knits, twills, ponte, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality work
• Must be based in the NYC area (NYC or nearby NJ/NY boroughs) for fabric/supply drop-offs and pick-ups
• Able to work independently and deliver work quickly final batch needed by mid to late October
