We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress/Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong background in garment construction and alterations. As a Tailor, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality tailoring services to our customers, ensuring that each garment fits perfectly and meets their expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform alterations and adjustments on various types of garments, including dresses, suits, and casual wear.
• Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute precise alterations.
• Assess customer needs through consultations to determine the best alterations for their garments.
• Maintain an organized workspace while ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and offering style advice when needed.
• Keep accurate records of alterations and customer preferences for future reference.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all tailoring requests.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fashion retail or tailoring is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Proficiency in using sewing machines and understanding garment construction techniques.
• Solid sewing skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
