Position Overview Salary Range: $55,000‑$60,000 based on education and experience. QuaverEd, Inc. is a leading educational technology company located on Music Row in Nashville, TN. We are dedicated to creating engaging and innovative educational resources for elementary and middle school‑aged children. We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Spanish Music Content Translator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a native Spanish speaker with exceptional bilingual skills in English and Spanish, possessing a strong background in music education and translation. Ideally, the candidate will have studied music or taught music in Spanish in a Latin American country. It is also a plus if this person has experience in song translation. Key Responsibilities Translate QuaverEd curriculum and resources from English to Spanish while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality. Edit, proofread, and revise translations based on feedback to ensure consistency and clarity in neutral Latin‑American Spanish. Review Spanish resources for the QuaverEd website, including educational activities, ensuring they are age‑appropriate and culturally relevant. Research to effectively communicate ideas and information in Spanish, tailored to the target audience. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including writers, musicians, teachers, software developers, audio engineers, and graphic artists to ensure cohesive and effective content delivery. Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in Music, Spanish, Translation, or related field. Proven experience translating educational content from English to Spanish, with a strong understanding of educational terminology. Experience working with elementary and/or middle school‑aged children is highly desirable. Knowledge of neutral Latin‑American Spanish and regional variations. Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish. Proficiency in research methodologies related to translation and educational content development. Proficiency in Google Apps G Suite or Microsoft Office. Knowledge of task management software programs such as Asana is a plus. Additional Information Location: Middle Tennessee (must move here within 90 days). Application Requirements: Resume, three references, and a cover letter in both English and Spanish (with the heading “Translator Found”). Translation Task: Please choose a paragraph from an English text (related to education or a literary piece) and translate it into Spanish. This task will help us evaluate your translation skills and attention to detail. Portfolio or samples of previous translation work, particularly in educational content, if available. All employees must live within commuting distance of Music Row in Nashville. The position requires a minimum of three days a week in the office; up to two days may be remote.
