Travel Psychiatric Registered Nurse – Green Bay, WI

Start Date: ASAP | Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Nights | Straight 36 or 48-hour rotations available

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Green Bay, WI. This facility offers five specialized psychiatric units with a total of 72 beds, serving both voluntary and involuntary patients across the lifespan—from pediatric to geriatric populations.

The Psychiatric RN will provide direct patient care, therapeutic interventions, and crisis management while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to promote patient safety and recovery.

Responsibilities:



  • Provide direct nursing care to psychiatric patients, including medication administration and monitoring.


  • Perform comprehensive assessments and implement individualized care plans.


  • Manage acute psychiatric crises with therapeutic interventions.


  • Maintain safety standards for patients and staff in both voluntary and involuntary care settings.


  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.


  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and medication adherence.

Requirements:



  • 2+ years of recent psychiatric nursing experience – Required


  • Experience with pediatric through geriatric populations – Required


  • BLS (AHA) – Required


  • Previous travel experience – Preferred
