Position Summary:
The Division of Education and Leadership (DEL) in the College of Education at Western Oregon University
invites qualified applications for part-time, adjunct faculty positions to supervise teacher candidates in K-12
clinical experiences.


Responsibilities:
Demonstrate knowledge and skills in subject area
Observe, mentor, and evaluate teacher candidates during their clinical placements (student


teaching)
Provide constructive feedback to support candidates' growth in instructional planning, classroom


management, and assessment strategies
Serve as a liaison between the university and placement schools
Conduct regular site visits to observe lessons and assess teaching competencies using


established evaluation tools
Monitor candidate progress and timely documentation and reports in accordance with university,


TSPC, and accreditation standards
Support teacher candidates in understanding and meeting state certification and program


requirements
Participate in trainings, calibration sessions, and professional development offered by the


university
Promote a culturally responsive and inclusive approach to teaching and supervision

Required Qualifications: Please ensure your application materials clearly demonstrate how you meet the

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field


• Demonstrated minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in a birth and/or K-12 setting
• Must be eligible to hold an Oregon teacher license
